As one of Australia’s most iconic music festivals, Bluesfest Byron Bay attracts families from across the country, offering a vibrant atmosphere that celebrates music, art and community. Kidzklub Australia has been an ongoing partner of the festival, curating and managing the dedicated Freestyle ArtPlay Area as part of its Festival Program — a colourful, interactive space that embodies everything the Classic Kidz Klub represents.
Blending creativity, activity and imagination, this space gives children their own slice of the festival to explore while parents enjoy the music knowing their kids are happy, entertained and cared for.
At Bluesfest, Kidzklub delivered a full-scale Classic Kids Club setup, complete with themed art stations, physical play zones, dress-ups and a chillout area — all under the supervision of our professional play facilitators.
Freestyle ArtPlay Area
The heart of the activation, featuring drawing and colouring tables, painting zones, collage stations and recycled craft projects. Kids got hands-on with activities like mask making, pet rocks, paddle pop constructions, spoon puppets, loom bands, hama beads and wool crafts.
A highlight was the chalkboard fences, inviting kids to express themselves through spontaneous, large-scale artwork.
ActivePlay Zone on the Grass
Designed to keep energy levels high, this open-air space included hula hoops, totem tennis, stepping stones, balance beams and a range of giant games such as Connect 4, Chess, Dominos and Ping Pong.
DramaPlay Zone
Imaginative fun flourished with a dress-up area where kids transformed into pirates, fairies, superheroes and more — inspiring role play, laughter and storytelling.
Chillout Zone
A calm, shaded retreat filled with toys, cars, building blocks and construction games. This zone gave younger children a space to relax or quietly play after an active day of creativity and fun.
Professional Supervision
Each zone was managed by trained Kidzklub staff, ensuring every activity was engaging, safe and age-appropriate.
