About the Event

Kidzklub designed and facilitated Mini Mooland as an interactive entertainment space for families focused on creativity, movement and imaginative play.

The activation featured multiple activity zones that allowed children to move naturally between creative activities, active games and performance-based entertainment throughout the day.

Mini Mooland included:

  • Two hands-on arts and crafts areas: Crazy Painting Station and Imagination Station
  • Giant games
  • Active play experiences
  • Bubble play activities
  • Face painting
  • Balloon twisting
  • Clown School with kooky dress ups and fun clowny toys (a drama play activation)
  • Interactive family games
  • Experienced children’s entertainers and facilitators
  • Resident entertainer Shorty Brown the Clown

The space itself was intentionally designed to feel vibrant, playful and visually connected to the festival atmosphere. Colourful flags and handmade rag bunting were installed throughout the activation area to create a welcoming and immersive family festival environment.

Kidzklub’s team facilitated flexible, drop-in style engagement rather than formal childcare, encouraging children and parents to interact together through shared play experiences, creative workshops and festival activities. For events that require a fully programmed and supervised offering, Kidzklub also delivers the Classic Kidz Klub format.

The activation successfully balanced energetic play with quieter creative experiences, helping create a space where children of different ages could comfortably participate throughout the festival day.

Outcomes

Mini Mooland added a highly visible family-friendly element to the Groovin the Moo festival experience and demonstrated the value of dedicated children’s entertainment spaces within major live events.

Across the festival, the activation:

  • Drew families into a dedicated, immersive zone within the wider festival site
  • Engaged children of different ages through a varied mix of creative and active play
  • Created a steady flow of drop-in participation throughout the day
  • Gave parents a space to relax and play alongside their children rather than supervise from the sidelines
  • Generated standout moments of performance and interaction through resident entertainer Shorty Brown the Clown
  • Contributed colour, character and atmosphere to the festival site through bunting, flags and styling
  • Showcased two distinct creative activations (Crazy Painting and Imagination Station) alongside more structured entertainment elements

Mini Mooland highlighted how a thoughtfully programmed kids zone can shift a music festival from adult-focused event to genuine family experience, expanding who feels welcome and how long they stay.
