About the Event

Kidchella Festival transforms the Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, QLD foreshore into a vibrant three-day celebration of music, creativity and family fun. The event attracts thousands of visitors each year and is packed with activities designed especially for young festival-goers.

Kidzklub Australia was invited to create and manage the Kidchella Arts and Crafts Hub as part of its Festival Program, delivering a colourful marquee filled with hands-on creativity where kids could make, decorate and express themselves freely. This space became a lively focal point of the festival, offering families a chance to slow down, connect and play together.

What We Delivered

Our team designed, styled and facilitated a kids festival program including a large arts and crafts hub under a spacious marquee, providing seven unique activity stations that inspired imagination and creativity throughout the weekend. The setup extended outdoors where children could continue their artistic exploration with chalk art along the pavement.

Key Features:

  • Seven Creative Stations: A rotating mix of art and craft activities designed to suit a range of ages and interests.
  • Hands-On Workshops: Activities included mask making, paddle pop construction, pet rocks, beading, collages and festival-themed creations.
  • Chalk ArtPlay Zone: The fun flowed outdoors as kids took to the pavement to create their own chalk artworks, adding colour and joy to the foreshore.
  • Inclusive and Accessible Setup: Open to all ages with flexible drop-in participation, allowing families to come and go throughout the day.
  • Vibrant Styling: Bright signage, colourful tables, bunting and sustainable materials created a playful, welcoming environment.

Outcomes

The Kidzklub Arts and Crafts Hub quickly became one of the most popular areas of the festival, drawing steady crowds and keeping children engaged for hours.
