About the Event

Farm Kids is one of Kidzklub Australia’s most beloved ongoing programs, created in partnership with The Farm Byron Bay to give children a hands-on, real-world experience of life on the land. From feeding animals to planting veggies, the program inspires curiosity about where food comes from and helps children understand the connection between people, animals and the environment. Each session is designed to spark learning through play, encouraging children to explore nature, develop new skills and experience the joy of working outdoors. Over the years, Farm Kids has become a much-loved part of The Farm’s community life, attracting families from across Byron Bay, Ballina, Lennox Head and beyond.

What We Delivered

Kidzklub provided Themed Educational Program Design to create The Farm Kids Program at The Farm, Byron Bay over ten years ago and continues to run the program today.
Each week and during every school holiday period, our facilitators lead creative, educational and nature-based sessions that balance fun, learning and hands-on exploration.

Mini Farmers Program
A full-day immersive experience running during school holidays and term time. Children become mini farmers for the day, feeding animals, collecting eggs, checking fences and helping tend the garden. They plant, weed and harvest fresh produce, learning about teamwork, sustainability and ethical farming along the way.

Workshops and Tours
Each session begins with a guided farm tour, giving kids the chance to meet the animals, explore the orchards and veggie patches, and learn about pollination, composting and healthy soil. Afterward, themed workshops bring the lessons to life through cooking, gardening, or farm-inspired crafts.

Homeschool Programs
Designed for homeschooled children, these term-based sessions align with the curriculum while maintaining the spirit of outdoor learning. Each term explores a seasonal or environmental theme, from biodiversity and soil health to pollination, sustainability and creative reuse.

Private Group Bookings
Custom experiences are available for visiting families, community groups and schools. Each private session includes a farm tour, themed craft activity and a fun, hands-on introduction to sustainable farming practices.

Our Farm Kids Birthday Parties combine learning, play and creativity for an unforgettable day on the farm.
