Boxing Day Fun for the Whole Family at Ballina Jockey Club
Boxing Day at the races is a great Northern Rivers tradition, and Kidzklub Australia is returning to Ballina Jockey Club with a wonderful mix of children’s activities to make the day even more enjoyable for families.
On Saturday 26 December 2026, families heading to the Ballina Boxing Day Races can enjoy a dedicated kids entertainment area filled with creativity, movement, colourful face painting and games everyone can get involved in.
Whether you’re catching up with friends, enjoying the racing atmosphere or spending the afternoon with the family, there’ll be plenty to keep the younger racegoers entertained.
Arts & Crafts – A Little Creative Time
Our arts and crafts area gives children the chance to sit down, get creative and make something of their own.
With a selection of hands-on craft activities, children can explore colours, materials and their imagination, enjoying a change of pace from the excitement of the racecourse.
Face Painting – Colourful Race Day Transformations
Our Kidzklub face painters will be ready to add a splash of colour to the day, with a wonderful selection of designs for children to choose from.
From butterflies and favourite animals to colourful characters and sparkling creations, face painting is always a popular part of our family entertainment spaces.
Giant Games – Big Fun for Little Racegoers
Families can challenge each other and enjoy some friendly competition with our collection of giant games.
These oversized favourites encourage children to play together, try something new and enjoy a little fun between races. They’re also a great way for siblings, friends and family members to join in together.
Active Zone – Ready, Set, Play!
For children with plenty of energy to spare, our Active Zone offers a variety of play equipment that encourages movement, balance, coordination and physical activity.
Children can explore different challenges, practise new skills and enjoy some active play in a welcoming environment.
A Family-Friendly Boxing Day Tradition
The Ballina Boxing Day Races bring together locals and visitors for a relaxed day of racing, socialising and celebrating the holiday season.
Kidzklub’s children’s entertainment area adds another dimension to the event, offering activities for different ages and interests, from quieter creative experiences to active play and social games.
Having worked with Ballina Jockey Club on previous Boxing Day events, we’re looking forward to returning and helping make race day enjoyable for the whole family.
