Hands On Learning from Soil to Soul
Farm Kids Mini Farmers Term 1 2026 at The Farm Byron Bay is an immersive, heart led farm program for children aged 5 to 12 who love nature, creativity and hands on learning. Running across eight Fridays, this program guides children through a rich journey of sustainability, environmental care and real farm life, helping them understand how their everyday choices impact the Earth.
Each week explores a new theme through discussion, creative projects, science experiments and farm activities. Children learn about sustainability, waste and recycling, clothing and resources, paper production, natural dyes, nature craft and gardening. Activities include weaving, recycled art, bottle cap mosaics, scarecrow styling, bag making, recycled paper making, sun prints, pigment experiments, seedpod creatures, clay impressions, bug hotel building and planting seedlings to take home.
Throughout the term, children develop environmental awareness, problem solving skills, teamwork, creativity and confidence while connecting deeply with nature. Sessions blend education with fun, allowing children to learn by doing in a supportive and inspiring farm environment.
Families can book individual sessions or a full term, with a full term booking offering a 33 percent discount. Spaces are limited and bookings are essential.
This program reflects Farm Kids’ commitment to raising confident, curious and environmentally aware children through meaningful, hands on farm experiences.
