A Little Taste of Italy Through Creative Play
Kidzklub Australia is joining Festitalia 2026 at Brisbane Showgrounds, bringing a colourful Italian-inspired kids activity zone to this celebration of Italian culture, food, music and community.
Festitalia brings Brisbane’s Italian community together for a day of food, live music, rides, performers, a petting zoo and experiences celebrating the flavours and traditions of Italy.
Inside the Kidzklub activity zone, little festival-goers will be able to explore Italy through creativity, with a collection of hands-on activities designed for different ages and interests.
🍕 Pizza Art
No oven required! Children can design and decorate their own colourful pizza masterpiece, choosing their favourite toppings (made from pasta) and creating a very imaginative version of an Italian favourite.
🍝 Pasta Art
Pasta moves from the plate to the craft table as children use different shapes and textures to create something completely unique.
🎭 Italian-Inspired Masks
Kids can design and decorate their own colourful masks, drawing inspiration from the colours of the Italian flag and adding plenty of their own personality.
🎨 Creative Play for Littlies
Our youngest festival-goers won’t miss out. Painting, stamping, colourful collage and spoon-and-fork puppets will provide simple, tactile activities where little hands can stick, stamp, paint and create at their own pace.
The space will be designed for free-flowing participation, allowing families to wander in, choose an activity and stay for as long as their little creators are inspired. With different experiences available, children can explore materials, experiment with ideas and proudly create something of their own to take home.
For families enjoying a full day at Festitalia, the Kidzklub zone also offers something important: a place for children to slow down and become absorbed in creative play while parents can stop, sit and enjoy the moment with them before heading back out to explore the festival.
It’s a simple idea that works beautifully at large family events — taking the theme and culture of the wider celebration and translating it into something children can touch, make, experience and remember.
Kidzklub Australia creates interactive children’s activations for festivals and major events across Queensland and Australia, designing spaces that complement the event around them rather than simply adding generic kids entertainment.
