Big Creativity for Little Festival Goers
Kidzklub Australia is returning to Kidchella Festival 2026, bringing our dedicated Arts and Crafts Hub back to the Surfers Paradise foreshore for another celebration of creativity, colour and family fun.
Kidchella transforms Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast into a festival created especially for kids and families, with music, entertainment and interactive experiences taking over the foreshore.
Within the festival, the Kidzklub Arts and Crafts Hub will offer children a welcoming place to stop, create and immerse themselves in hands on play. Rather than one set activity, the large creative space will feature multiple activity stations, giving children the freedom to choose what captures their imagination and move between different experiences.
Kids can make, decorate, design and experiment with a changing mix of creative activities inspired by the playful Kidchella atmosphere. Our free flowing approach means there is no single way to create. Children can follow an idea, add their own personality and proudly take home something that is completely theirs.
The creativity will extend beyond the craft tables with chalk art and collaborative making, giving young artists even more opportunities to leave their colourful mark on the festival.
Bright tables, playful signage, colourful bunting and creative materials will help transform the space into an inviting festival hub where families can wander in, stay for a while and create together.
For children, it is a chance to slow down and become absorbed in making. For parents, it provides an easy place to pause within a busy festival while still sharing the experience with their children.
Returning to Kidchella also gives Kidzklub Australia the opportunity to build on an activation that proved enormously popular with families. Our previous Arts and Crafts Hub attracted a steady flow of young creators throughout the festival, demonstrating how open ended creative play can sit beautifully alongside music, performance and other high energy festival experiences.
Kidzklub Australia designs and delivers children’s activations for festivals and major events across Australia. Kidchella is a wonderful example of how a thoughtfully created arts and crafts space can become an experience in its own right and an important part of a truly family focused festival.
