A Kids Zone Made for Murbah Families
Kidzklub Australia is heading to Stone & Wood Brewery in Murwillumbah for Murbah Open Day 2026, an annual community celebration bringing together local music, food, markets, brewery tours and plenty of Northern Rivers character.
Held on Saturday 29 August, Stone & Wood Murbah Open Day opens the brewery to the community for a day celebrating the people, stories and local connections behind the brewery. With between 500 and 1,000 people expected throughout the day, the event has been designed as a family friendly celebration with something for both adults and children to enjoy.
Kidzklub Australia will create and manage the dedicated Kids Zone from 11am to 4pm, giving families a welcoming place to stop, play and spend time together while enjoying the wider event.
Our Arts and Crafts Zone will give children plenty of opportunity to sit down, get creative and make something of their own. Face painting from 12pm to 3pm will add colour and imagination to the afternoon, with our talented artists creating favourite characters, animals and playful designs.
For children ready to move, the Active Zone will offer physical play and challenges, while our collection of giant games will encourage children, parents and friends to play together. The combination of creative and active experiences means children can move naturally between making, playing and burning off some energy throughout their visit.
And from 1pm to 3pm, Shorty the Clown will bring his own brand of mischief to Murbah, adding roaming entertainment, laughter and spontaneous moments of fun to the family precinct.
Rather than offering one stand alone children’s activity, the Kidzklub zone brings several styles of play together in one flexible space. Families can drop in during their day, stay for as long as they like and return to the wider celebration when they’re ready.
Our return to another Stone & Wood event also reflects an ongoing partnership built around creating family experiences that complement the personality of each event. For Murbah Open Day, that means a relaxed, playful kids space that feels right at home within a celebration of Murwillumbah, the Northern Rivers and the Stone & Wood community.
