Colourful Faces Are Popping Up Across the Northern Rivers This Spring
Spring means school holidays, community celebrations and plenty of reasons to get out with the kids. This season, the Kidzklub Australia face painting team will be appearing at family events across Ballina, South Ballina and Harwood.
From celebrating 40 years of a much-loved children’s centre to AFL Grand Final festivities and relaxed school holiday sessions at a local resort, each event offers families a different way to join in the fun.

Rainbow Children’s Centre 40th Anniversary – Ballina
Sunday 20 September | 10.30am–1.30pm
We’re delighted to help Rainbow Children’s Centre in Ballina celebrate its 40th Anniversary.
Kidzklub will be bringing colourful face painting to this special milestone celebration, helping add a little extra fun for the children while past and present families come together to celebrate four decades of connection, care and community.
Harwood Hotel – AFL Grand Final
Saturday 26 September | 2pm–4pm
It’s Grand Final afternoon at Harwood Hotel, and there’s something for the younger footy fans too.
Kidzklub face painters will be there from 2pm to 4pm, transforming little faces with colourful designs while families settle in and enjoy the AFL Grand Final atmosphere.
Whether the kids want something sporty, sparkly, wild or completely imaginative, they can get painted and join in the excitement of the afternoon.
South Ballina Nature Resort – Spring School Holidays
Saturday 26 September | 2.30pm–4.30pm
Saturday 3 October | 2.30pm–4.30pm
We’re also returning to South Ballina Nature Resort for two spring school holiday face painting sessions.
Children staying at the resort can choose a favourite design and enjoy a colourful afternoon activity as part of their holiday experience, while families relax and enjoy their time together at South Ballina.
These smaller pop-up activations are an important part of what Kidzklub Australia does across the Northern Rivers. From childcare centres and community celebrations to hotels, resorts, festivals and major public events, professional face painting provides an easy and engaging way for venues to make children part of the experience.
