Hands On Learning and Nature Based Play

Farm Kids Mini Farmers returns to The Farm Byron Bay for Term 2 2026, offering a rich, hands on program designed for children aged 5 to 12. Held weekly on Fridays from 9am to 3pm, these full day workshops invite children to connect with nature, explore sustainable farming and experience real farm life in a meaningful and engaging way.

Across the eight week program, children will explore key themes including weather and seasonal change, the water cycle, companion planting, soil health and caring for Country. Each session blends science, creativity and practical farm experiences, helping children understand how natural systems work and how we can care for the environment. For more on the learning philosophy behind these workshops, read our article on eco education for kids at The Farm Byron Bay.
